This is an observation on the relationship´ of EDC to actual confinement in 1950 cases of Korean women delivered at Seoul National University from 1st Jan., 1959, to 31st June, 1961,
From these 1950 cases, 405 cases of Cesarean section, irregular menstruation, lactation amenorrhea, version and extraction were excluded from this observation.
Results:
1) Mean duration of pregnancy in Korean women is more similar to Japanese than to weatern women.
2) The duration of pregnancy was not related with ,-parity:
3) Delivery on EDC occured in 5.1%
4) Number of cases which delivered´ alter the EDC were greater than the number of which delivered before the EDC.
5) 47.3% of the cases delivered during 1 week before and after the EDC. 71.6% of the cases delivered during 2 weeks before and after the EDC.
